Hartland 1st Selectman

Wade Cole

A lifelong resident of Hartland, First Selectman Wade E. Cole has served Hartland as a full-time employee in various capacities for 35 years, including as the Department of Public Works’ road foreman and the town’s tree warden, positions he currently holds along with being first selectman – his first elected position. Cole’s many responsibilities, which span three administrations, have provided him with valuable experience in administration and budgeting, as well as a strong working knowledge of the town’s economic infrastructure. When not working for his hometown, Cole owns and drives NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race cars. He and his wife, Beth, are the parents of three grown children and six grandchildren.
