Garry Brumback, Town Manager of Southington, CT, was appointed on January 31, 2011.  He began his career in the U. S. Army after graduating from Virginia Military Institute.  His career spanned twenty years and included several staff and command positions culminating as a Battalion Commander.  He retired in 1998 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  Garry began his career in local government as the Strategic Planning Director for the City of Clearwater, Florida.  In 2000 he was promoted to Assistant City Manager.  In 2007 he was appointed City Manager of Baytown, Texas, where he served until being appointed by the Town Council to his current post.  Along with a BA in Economics from VMI, Garry also has an MA in International Relations from Boston University.  He is joined in Southington by his wife, Jennifer.
