Board Members & Alternates

Since its founding in 1980, our board has expanded from a handful of community members to 16 towns in our geographic area, which stretches from Branford on the coast to Warren and Washington near the New York border, and as far north as Hartland on the Massachusetts border. Each member community in BRRFOC and TROC appoints one representative and one alternate to serve on the respective Committees.

All members and alternates serve on a voluntary basis, devote their time to meetings of the Committees and Subcommittees on behalf of their respective towns, and receive no compensation from BRRFOC/TROC. The Board provides active, hands-on oversight for all operations of the two organizations, including fiduciary administration of reserves and investments, establishing rates and budgets, scheduling and on-site management of waste collection events, and other functions.
