Bristol Resource Recovery Facility Tunxis Recycling Operating Committee

Plainville Town Manager Robert E. Lee appointed to Executive Committee

Plainville Town Manager Robert E. Lee has been re-elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Bristol Resource Recovery Facility Operating Committee (BRRFOC), the regional organization responsible for the safe and cost-effective disposal of municipal solid waste generated in the fourteen member towns and cities it represents. Lee, who was BRRFOC president in 2009 and 2010, will serve on the committee with Bristol Mayor/BRRFOC President Arthur Ward; Wolcott Mayor/BRRFOC Vice President Thomas G. Dunn; Branford First Selectman/BRRFOC Secretary Anthony J. “Unk” DaRos; and Berlin Town Manager/BRRFOC Treasurer Denise McNair. Southington Town Manager Garry Brumback and New Britain Mayor Tim O'Brien also were named to the Executive Subcommittee, which now has seven members, the maximum allowed.

“We are very pleased to have Robert Lee remain on the Executive Committee,” said BRRFOC President Arthur Ward. “Robert’s years of experience on the BRRFOC board, as well as his experience as past president of our sister agency, the Tunxis Recycling Operating Committee (TROC), will be invaluable as we review the many important issues that we bring before the entire board, including the long-term strategic planning initiative we are currently developing. We also look forward to working with him on other matters under the purview of the Executive Committee, including the legislative agenda; contract issues associated with the operation of the Bristol waste-to-energy facility, as well as the provision of legal and other professional services; and various personnel matters.”
