Denise McNair was named town manager of Berlin in November 2008 after four months of service as interim town manager and 15 years as the town’s tax collector. A graduate of the University of Connecticut and the New England School of Law, McNair spent ten years in private practice before resuming her public service career in Berlin, a career that she began as a lifeguard and continued as the assistant director of recreation between the time she completed her undergraduate studies and started law school.
