Acceptable Curbside Recycling

Glass, Metals & Plastics may be co-mingled in your recycling bin:

Include

  • Glass (clear & colored)
  • Tin Cans
  • Foil
  • Aluminum food containers
  • Plastic bottles & jugs #1-7
  • Polycoated milk & juice cartons (NEW)

Do NOT Include

  • Bottle Caps
  • Light bulbs, Ceramics, Cookware, Window/Mirror/Glass, Crystal
  • Scrap Metal, Appliances, Metal Parts, Pots/Pans, Aerosol Cans, Silverware, Needles & Paint/Paint Cans

Mixed Paper may be placed in bown paper bags next to bin:

Include

  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Catalogs
  • Phone Books (NEW)
  • Office Paper (NEW)
  • Stationary & Envelopes (NEW)
  • Direct Mail & Flyers (UV Coating OK)

Do NOT Include

  • Tape, Packing Materials, Egg Crate/Carton
  • Cereal, Shoe or Pizza Boxes
  • String & Plastic Bags
  • Brown Manila Envelopes, overnight envelopes or Tyvek
  • Giveaway Items (Product Samples, CD’s)
  • Greeting Cards or Wrapping Paper
  • Boxboard, 6-pack cartons, cardboard
  • Tape, Post-it notes, Mail with pressure sensitive labels

Flattened Corrugated Cardboard no larger than 2’x3′ may be placed next to bins.  Yellow tinted cardboard is NOT accepted.

Curbside Pickup Schedule

Put out Sunday Evening for Monday morning pickup.  Holidays on the town calendar will be picked up the following tuesday.

Accepted at Town Recycling Center

Fees may be imposed for certain items.  Fee Schedule is available on the town website
